From a feature list to a purchase requirement

Buying Guides focuses on turning a practical need into a specification you can verify. The current category begins with GaN wall chargers; related smartphone and charging explainers live in their own subject archives.

Define the job before comparing prices

For a charger, list the devices that will be connected at the same time, where you will use it and which cables you already own. Include the wall adapter and cables when comparing a travel setup, not only the smallest component in the product photograph.

Read the GaN guide for port allocation, power budgeting and the distinction between a component technology and the complete retail product. It provides a buying method rather than an untested best-product table.

Keep a short acceptance note

Before ordering, write the condition that would make the purchase successful: the exact devices, simultaneous use and documented operating mode. Keep unresolved questions beside that note and ask the seller for the missing specifications.

During an authorized return-window trial, compare the product with those requirements. A headline claim that sounds impressive is less useful than evidence that the accessory does the job you bought it for. Follow the charging hub when you need the terminology behind a requirement.
